EximSoft’s Textile Portal selected as a finalist at Stockholm Challenge

EximSoft Technologies Private Limited, a leading provider of e-business, Smart Card, and Telecom solutions today announced that its e-solution venture, Textile Portal, has been chosen as one of the finalists in the prestigious Stockholm Challenge Award 2001. Textile Portal has been nominated as one of the 100 finalists from a record number of 742 projects registered from over 90 countries. The winners of the various categories will be announced at the prize-giving ceremony in the Stockholm City Hall on September 26, 2001.

The Stockholm Challenge is a global arena for pioneering IT projects that focus on the benefits technology can bring to people and society. It is a way of building networks between entrepreneurs who will benefit from contacts across borders, cultures, and economies. Creativity and innovation as well as the desire to stimulate and share knowledge are some of the qualities in The Stockholm Challenge participants. The jury bases their evaluation of the finalists on the following four criteria Innovation User Need Sustainability Transferability.
They reward projects that through inspirational approaches benefit people, society, and the environment in their local context. Special attention is given to projects that promote democracy, counteract segregation and discrimination, or support gender equality.

The seven categories reach the whole spectra of today’s society; New Economy, Health & Quality of Life, Culture & Entertainment, Public Services & Democracy, Education, Environment, and A Global Village, a new category for new-thinking projects crossing borders between societies, cultures and scientific fields.
